Watertown Helps Out: WCF Volunteer Day 2014

Watertown Community Foundation’s first annual volunteer day, Watertown Helps Out, was a success! Over 150 volunteers helped out local nonprofits by gardening, painting, building fences, cleaning up the river, assisting seniors with household activities, sprucing up a children’s play area at the Watertown Family Network, placing flags on veterans’ graves at Mount Auburn Cemetery, and lots more! When the work was done, we had a blast at the thank-you celebration at the Arsenal Project, featuring great music, great food donated by local businesses, and great company with an opportunity to meet new friends and old.
